Measure who came back

Compare buyer participation across named drops. Keep the cohort, time window and revenue definition alongside every number.

Freeze the cohort

Define eligible buyers using the reviewed releases before a new drop opens. Report both the original cohort size and the number observed buying in the subsequent release.

Define returned buyers

In the illustrative example, 32 of 96 Core Fans buy in the next release: 33.3%. Count buyers once, even when they place multiple orders. Missing or unresolved identities can undercount participation.

Separate revenue from participation

Returning-buyer revenue is revenue from the defined returning-buyer cohort within the selected period. State currency, tax and shipping inclusion and refund treatment. Do not combine incomparable currencies or imply that gross order totals are net revenue.

Avoid causal claims

Product assortment, availability, pricing, timing and marketing all affect results. A before-and-after cohort view describes observed behavior; it does not isolate incremental lift.
